In a pharmaceutical application in stability testing, the method was not robust enough. Peaks were moving relative to each other due to small changes in experimental conditions. A new method development was necessary, where the selectivity was readjusted by learning how the peak movements depend on the value of the experimental factors (pH, temperature, gradient slope etc.). The following presentation show how the robustness of the separation selectivity could be improved successfully.
